Application
Shopping center, office buildings, and government buildings, .... with shared customer parking.
Problems - Needs
- How to make long-term parkers pay without a complex, expensive, and intrusive parking system?
- How to allow short-term parkers/customers to park for free or at a reduced rate?
- How to ensure that visitors leave the parking lot with minimal time loss at the exit barrier?
- How to ensure that the payment kiosk accurately recognizes license plates without manually entering the license plate?
- How to ensure that cars for which the ANPR scan fails at the exit can still be checked outside without bothering the staff?
Solution
- Entrance: Printer column - ANPR-camera. Take a ticket - Drive in.
- Reception - Counter: Validator. Scan a valid entry ticket.
- Pay-on-foot: Scan an entry or validated ticket.
- Exit: Pay-in-Lane - ANPR-camera. Pay if necessary - Drive out using ANPR.
Scenario
Visitors take a QR ticket at the entrance which contains the date, arrival time, and license plate. Before leaving, visitors have their entry ticket scanned by a validator, which then informs the exit barriers via the LAN which QR tickets and license plates are now time-limited. When these license plates present themselves in time at the exit, the exit barrier opens automatically. If this occurs after the validation period, the payment terminal displays an amount due.
Comments
- All of the above products are connected to the LAN. An internet connection is optional except for the payment terminal.
- The above payment terminal can also be placed at the exit (next to the exit camera), but this is not recommended during busy peak times. This payment terminal is available in a paperless version. Contact us for more info.
- People leave the parking lot by default with ANPR, which benefits the exit flow and user experience.
- When an ANPR scan fails at the exit, the visitor scans the QR ticket and exits the parking without bothering the staff.
